An authenticate and complete issue of theNew Orleans Picayune, 4pp., April 4, 1854, disbound archival edge tape repairs, tender paper. From pg 4, an ad, “Twenty Dollars Reward ad from a runaway slave boy, William, nearly white, about 25 years old, blue eyes, light hair, bad teeth ....” Clearly this slave is mixed race and very likely the plantation owners son.
